Day 11

Well as promised here is the big reveal of what we did yesterday. With some of our friends that we have met here along the way we decided to load up and go to a hot springs that is nearby. So it was me Clayton our two Mexican Friends, (Hector and Diego) and a German guy named Christoff. We got very lost on our way there and had to stop and ask for directions multiple times. Each time we would get a different answer for directions. Finally we got the same answer in a row and they turned out to be the correct thing. The place that we were looking for is called Escondido. which translates into the hideaway or the secret place. It was unlike any other natural springs that I have been to. Everything was just out in the open in large pools that you could swim around in. Then a little farther down the path there was this small rounded structure where the steam baths were. Now there are four baths in total and each one is a little hotter than the next. The last one was particularly hot and was in a domed structure. Now the curved roof combined with the water makes for an absolutely amazing acoustical experience. You just can't help but sing songs while you are in there cause it just sounds so cool. It made for an unbelievable day. Needless to say we were both pretty wiped out after that so we came back napped. Rested up and then out on the town we went. Mama Mia had a really great band that we went and listened to. Then on my walk home last night I took some pictures that I will include as well. Tomorrows post is also going to be a good one so keep an eye out. It is also claytons last night tonight. He will be leaving in the afternoon tomorrow. We have had an amazing run creating and living here in San Miguel. It is not going to be the same without him. So the next couple of days I am going to be posting with just my solo adventures. For now however enjoy the pics and I'll be posting again soon!
